We aim to maintain our mood of service and hospitality while also maintaining a high degree of professionalism. For this reason, we specify reasonable fees for our services, as listed below.

You can choose to visit our Temple, in-schools workshops, online workshops and teacher training.

Temple visits 2024

Basic visit

It lasts for 2 hours and includes:

  • Interactive Presentation by professional speaker and group role play.
  • See the shrine with explanation
  • Visit to our Cow Protection center
Rates per person

Half day visit

It lasts 3 hours and includes:

  • Interactive Presentation by professional speaker and group role play.
  • Cart ride pulled by oxen and tour of grounds
  • See the shrine with explanation
  • Visit to our Shop Bazaar
  • Choose from: Dressing-up in traditional dress, Traditional Face Painting, Story time or Questions and Answers

All-day visit

It lasts 4 ½ hours, usually from 10am to 2:30pm and includes lunch

  • Visit to our Shop Bazaar
  • Dressing-up in traditional dress

Our presentations are highly interactive using a range of resources and artefacts. We aim to provide learning experiences and resources that are authentic, exciting and accessible.
You can choose a presentation about Hindu beliefs or about our main Hindu festivals like Diwali. Just let us know what topic you are interested in and we can tailor the presentation to your needs.

Online workshops 2024

Our topics include:

  • Main beliefs: Atman, karma, God in 3 places and nature of God
  • The deities and worship (arati)
  • Animal rights, cow protection and
    vegetarianism
  • Main festivals
  • Questions and Answers
£50+VAT for 30 min

Our presentations are highly interactive using a range of resources and artefacts. We aim to provide learning experiences and resources that are authentic, exciting and accessible.
This virtual presentation features:
• A Hindu shrine
• Arati tray and other artefacts
• Traditional clothing

Teacher training and INSET 2024

We offer teacher training and INSET in our Temple or in your school. Participants will get fully trained on how to teach Hinduism and will also receive printed materials, the book Heart of Hinduism, lesson plans and more to help them teach their lessons.

Topics covered include:

  • Overcoming misconceptions /breaking stereotypes
  • Hinduism from the Hindu viewpoint
  • Setting up a Hindu Shrine
  • Basic Hindu beliefs and lifestyle, with teaching ideas
  • Hindu Theology: One God or many?
  • The different deities: a simple explanation
  • The role of sacred images
  • The Hindu Trimurti and welcoming ceremony (Arati)
Teacher training and INSET fee. We can lead the INSET in our Watford temple or at your school.

 

All day: £300+VAT per session
Half day: £200+VAT per session
